The show aired syndicated weekly from 1999 until 2002 and replaced WWF Shotgun. WWF Metal showed the same matches as WWF Jakked with a different announce team. Originally produced under the World Wrestling Federation banner, the show was eventually replaced by WWE Afterburn in syndication.
