Fung suggests to celebrate Ngor's birthday. Hong goes together with them. Hong meets Lam again in the nightclub. Hong sees that Lam is So beautiful and attractive, he thus determines to court her. Ching is very sad and she commits the suicide. Fortunately, she is saved 'but her pregnancy is unveiled. After Ching's death, Hong is so frightened that he leaves at once. Fung passes by and aims at saving Ching. However , he is accused to be the murderer by the police who has just passed by. When the police asks Ngor the details, Ngor does not tell the truth for the sake of Hong. Ngor feels sorry for Fung. When Lam knows that, she immediately goes to see Fung. However, Cheun Bon prohibits Lam to see Fung by shutting her up. Although Lam's statement is for Fung, all other statement is against Fung. Therefore, Fung's attorney expresses that Fung would most likely sentence to death. Fung is full of resentment. Ha's sister cannot tolerate Fung to be wronged to death. She then asks Hai and Fu to save Fung. She risks her life to help Fung to escape from prison.

Fung escapes and hurts. He iS confined in a ditch. Lam eventually finds him heals his wound. Their relation is greatly enhanced after the hardship. Ngor hates Hong who has harmed others as well as himself. She neglects ~is presence. Hong asks Ngor to forgive him but Ngor disregards his request. Lam has disappeared. Bon guesses that she must be with Fung and is very angry. Ho Ching misses Lam so much that she becomes ill. Fung f1ees to Hong Kong. Lam misses him and goes to sightseeing with him before he leaves. Lam sees Fung boarding but is discovered by Hong. Hatred arises. Hong informs the police. Ban arrives to arrest Fung. Fung and Lam have fallen into the sea in confusion. When Lam has arrived Hong Kong, she finds the family of Chung Fu. Koo Pin consoles Lam to be patient and waited for Fung's news.

Fung drifts to a remote island and encounters Ling Ka Bo who is having an out-bound training. Bo informs the Hong Kong marine police to send him to the hospital. Fung misunderstands that he is arrested by the Kwangchow police so he jumps into the sea to escape. Lam gets the Hong Kong identity card. She waits outside the I.D Card Registration Centre for Fung. She worries Fung a lot. Fung is saved by Uncle Yu. Yu heals his wound and sends him to the urban area to get his I.D. card. However, the lenient policy has just nullified when Fung arrives. Fung then could not get the I.D. card. Pin brings Lam to work in her factory. She thinks that Lam could kill her time by working and alleviates her anxiety for Fung. Uncle Yu recommends Fung to work in a site. He gets to know Shum Chung, Choi Man Sheung and Pang Fai. All of them are come from China without the Hong Kong identity cards. They work in harmony……

Fu losses all his money and wants to kill himself by jumping down from a building. Fortunately, he is saved by a policeman. Pin expresses that she will not blame him. Mrs. Chan also promises Fu that she will transfer the food stall to him. Fu is glad. ' Tang Ki courts Ka Bo. Bo is annoyed with Ki's infatuation. She could not avoid seeing Ki when Ka Hing returns. She eventually dines with Ki. She meets Fung again during the dinner. She is at ease about Fung who is now alright. Tai Kwen is mean but Oi Fong is extravagant in spending money. Ngor has not yet forgiven Hong. Hong implores Ngor to forgive him. Ngor eventually is affected and forgives him. Tsui Wah knows a new boyfriend and breaks with Kim On. On is so angry that he blackmails Wah. Wah is vexed with him. On is in great debt and cannot pay the debt. He has got Ching's necklace which is Hong's gift. He then blackmails Hong. Hong has no choice and gives him the money. On encounters an traffic accident. He is then being Sent to the hospital,Hong by chance in charge On. Hong intentionally let On die. Hong decides to go to Hong Kong with Ngor lest the case would disclose. Wah then gets the necklace. However, Bo goes to find Lam with Fung but in vain. Fung 1S very disappointed. Bo has fallen for Fung. Unexpectedly, Lam and Fung meet again.

Fung eventually finds Lam with Bo's help. Fung and Lam Fascinate the new life. Bo is gloomy when she witnesses Fung and Lam are together. Though she has fallen for Fung, she will keep it a secret for not dispersing the two. When Pin knows Fung is an illegal immigrant, she asks Fung to leave Lam for the sake of Lam's future. This puts Fung into a dilemma. Yip Man Sheung is hurt in confusion when he escapes form the police who tries to check his identity. Pin is affected by his passion, therefore, she does not interfere them. Moreover, her attitude towards Fung has changed. Hong worries a lot for what he has done. He strongly persu1ades Ngor to go to Hong Kong. Ngor opposes. Hong is resolute to do so. He puts a lot of effort in arranging it. He eventually gets the one-way permit to Hong Kong. Ngor has no alternative and goes to Hong Kong with his son.

Lam sees that the financial situation of Pin's family is very bad, she therefore voluntarily goes out to work. Lam applies a post in Tai Kwen Department Store. She is not accepted because she does not have special skills. Later, Ka Hing appreciates her and appoints her. When Ngor and Hong have arrived Hong Kong which is a strange place for them, they are quite confusing. Fortunately, Ngor knows that Fung is in Hong Kong. They therefore decides to find Fung. Fung is unexpected to see Ngor and Hong in Hong Kong. He is very happy. He even requests them to stay with him. Hong is ashamed of himself. When Hong knows that Fung and Lam are stable lovers he feels very distasteful. He persuades Lam to return home hoping that this suggestion could disperse them. Unexpectedly, Lam determines to stay and lives with Fung Hong is very disappointed.

Hong dislikes to live with Fling and lives elsewhere. Ngor knows that life is not easy and works as a street sweeper. Ka Hing aims at reforming the department store so as to rebuild his image. However, Tai Kwen opposes it as the cost for propaganda is too great. Conflict arises. Lam sympathizes and encourages Hing. Hing tries to get rid of his sorrow by drinking. He makes trouble at the public after drunk. Fortunately, Lam passes by and helps him to get rid of the trouble. Lam then misses Fung's appointment. Hing argues with Kwen and leaves him angrily. Lam understands his situation and requests Fung to let him stay. Kwen thinks that Hing is intentionally opposing him so as to consolidate his power. Kwen then sprightly asks Lam what does Hing want. Lam explains that Ring just wants to prove his talent. She persuades Kwen to talk with Hing. However, Kwen is reluctant to do so.

Hong gains a lot of money in business. He then spends a lot of money to buy some furniture. Ngor rebukes his extravagancy. Fung and Lam tries their best to bring Kwen and Hing together. They eventually could compromise and Hing returns home. Fung understands that Hing loves Lam and reminds Lam to be care?ful. Lam does not take it seriously. Kwen transfers the authority to Hing as the latter's performance is good. Kwen also knows that Hing loves Lam, he encourages Hing to compete with Fung for Lam. Hing promotes Lam to be his secretary as to have more chance to see her. He even gives her some expensive presents. Lam is shocked and dare not to accept it. Bo is insulted by a rascal. Fortunately, Fung passes by and beats the rascal away. However, he is hurt. Bo then takes care him.

Fung's wound gives him great pain. Bo risks to call the doctor in the stormy night. She also' takes great care on him. Fung knows that Bo loves him. However, he loves Lam only. Therefore, he refuses her good will. Bo is very disappointed. Lam and Hing work in Macau together. Lam avoids seeing him alone lest it could lead to misunderstanding. Hing understands her intention and expresses that he would give up to court her. He even bless Lam and Fung. Lam is then relieved. When Lam has discovered that Bo loves Fung, she suspects their relation. She dare not to face the reality and goes to one remote island to calm down herself. Hong determines to be a registration doctor in Hong Kong, he then sits for the examination for the registration doctor on one hand. He tries to get close to Lam when he knows that Lam has gone to the island alone. Their relationship has improved since both of them are keen on preparing the examination.

When Fung knows that Lam and Hong have lived together alone for a few days, he is very surprised. However, he still believes Lam. Lam eventually asks Fung about Bo. Fung frankly tells her the truth. He even guarantees Lam that he will not change his mind. Lam is then eased. Bo's boyfriend, Tang Kai, backs to Hong Kong and aims at resuming their lover relation. He even requests Bo to migrate abroad with him. However, Bo is cool to him due to her own emotional problem. Lam passes the examination. Lam believes Hong. She then falls into the dilemma between the two.

Lam passes the examination and all the people are glad. Hong spends a lot of money for Lam to celebrate this event so as to show off. Fung belittles himself when compares with Hong. Chung Fu understands Fung's feeling. He then joins him to set up a small restaurant so as to give a chance for him to show his talent and develop his business. Fung's confidence rebuilds after his encouragement. Hong is jealous when he sees Fung and Lam are together. However, he dare not to reveal his feeling. He just makes trouble outside after drunk. Hong and Siu Kit know that there is a shortage for the Chinese medicine. They then buy in a large smuggled stock and sell out at high price so as to make great profit. Hong sells Tai Kwun the medicine. Kean leaves a deep impression on him. Tang Kai woos for Bo with her parents. Her parents is glad with this. However, Bo rejects Kai and claims that she has never loved Kai. Kai suffers a great blow……

Kai goes to negotiate with Fung after drunk. Ngor and Hing are being pushed down stairs in confusion. They are then being sent to the hosp1tal. Kwun and his wife go to the hospital to see Hing. They thinks that Fung deliberately hurts Hing and rebukes him. When Ngor meets Kwun, she leaves immediately. In fact, Ngor is Kwun' s wife in China. Kwun is ordered by his father to marry her, therefore, their relation is not very good. When Kwun has gone to Hong Kong, he marries Oi Fong and neglects his ex-wife. Ngor lies to Hong that his father is dead. Kwun follows, Ngor going home and implores her to forgive him. Ngor resents him and does not accept his apology. Later, when he knows that Ngor has a child, Hong, he misunderstands that it is not his son. He rebukes Ngor instead. When Kwun discovers that the medicine brought from Hong is not genuine, he calls the police to arrest Hong for investigation……

She then says goodbye to Fung……

When Kwan receives the news of Hing's death, his heart-disease breaks out and fainted. Hong worries his health on the surface. Hong tries to pull Fung down to the lift trough in anger. Unexpectedly, Hong is pulled down to the trough, by Lam and Fung in confusion. Fung and Lam are brought to the police station for investigation. Fung's illegal identity is then revealed and he would have been sent back to China in custody. Though Lam is accused of murder, she still wants to help Fung staying in Hong Kong. Hong discovers that his right foot is handicapped and is very angry. He even accused Lam and Fung wrongfully. Lam is then being sentenced in prison for one and a half year……

Hong forces Ngor to give evidence on court. Ngor denies Hong to be Kwan's son. Hong then quarrels with Ngor when they have left the court. Ngor carelessly meets an traffic accident and dies. Bo collects some useful evidence that could help Fung to wash off his crime. She even helps him to manage a passport to Hong Kong so as to take care Lam. Hong could not inherit Kwan's property. His financial situation is very bad. He has no alternative and thinks that Fung is responsible for his bad situation. He therefore aims at taking revenge. Fung wants to visit Lam but Lam refuses to see him. Fung is then very sad. Bo feels very distasteful. Ki sees that Bo has sacrificed her future for the sake of Fung. Ki then rebukes Fung.
