اليوم هو عيد ميلاد (شمس)، تذهب (شمس) إلى جمعية رعاية الطفل لتعطي لهم الهدايا وتحكي لهم القصص، ولكن أثناء ذلك تجد طفل هاديء لا يتفاعل مع باقي الأطفال يدعى (شمس) أيضا، يبدو عليه أنه كان ابن لأسرة ميسورة الحال ولكن شائت الأقدار أن تجده الشرطة مع إحدى عصابات التسول بواسطة الأطفال وانتهى به المطاف في دار الرعاية غير متذكرًا أهله ولا بيته، (شمس) تهدئ من روعه وتعده بالزيارة المستمرة.
