During the 2020 lockdown Sibusiso decided to create a YouTube channel and use the name Skinny SAMMY, which is a name he came up with in 8th grade. When Sibusiso and his friends used to write music for fun and for laughs during free periods. The name is inspired by Eminem's "Slim Shady" alter ego. "Skinny" because Sibusiso is a very skinny person and always has been and he did that so that he could protect himself from the "diss tracks" he and his friends used to write about each other for fun. In a way he made fun of himself before anyone else did. "SAMMY" is an acronym for "Sibusiso Adam Makhanda Major Youngsta". On YouTube Sibusiso made various types of reaction videos and some of those reactions involved movie content, this is when he discovered his love cinema. He would watch bunch of movies everyday until he realised that he too would like to make films. In which he created a separate channel under his own name and post short films
