After graduating, he built a foundation in theatre, performing in numerous Daehak‑ro productions such. He went on to appear in various independent films and short productions before gaining industry attention in 2016 with The Boys Who Cried Wolf, where his distinctive and textured performance positioned him as a rising "scene stealer" in Korean cinema. Cha Rae‑hyung has since developed a steady career across film and television.
