His greatest achievement came in 2013 with the film ¡Asu Mare!, based on his autobiographical monologue, which became the highest-grossing film in Peruvian cinema history. After starring in its successful sequels, he made his directorial debut in 2023 with the spin-off ¡Asu Mare! Los amigos.
