She is most well known as the voice of Toph in the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. As a child actor, Murphy also lent her voice to several movies, including Finding Nemo (2003), Over the Hedge (2006), The Ant Bully (2006), Brother Bear 2 (2006), and Meet the Robinsons (2007). She graduated from Yale University in 2017, where she majored in a dual B.A. in Theater and Film Studies with concentrations in Playwrighting and Screenwriting.
