He, along with fellow Mr. Show writer B.J. Porter, created the weekly Los Angeles alternative comedy show called Comedy Death-Ray. In 2009, Aukerman became the host of the weekly radio show and podcast Comedy Death-Ray Radio. This title would later be changed to Comedy Bang Bang.
