Sten-Åke Cederhök

Sten-Åke Cederhök, born Carlsson on 30 January 1913 in Båraryd parish in Jönköping County, was a Swedish revue artist, comedian and actor. He grew up in Gothenburg and made his debut in 1929 in Alingsås Folkets Park in a folk play. During the 1930s he worked on various theatre stages, including at the Hagateatern in Gothenburg, and became a well-known entertainer in the city. Cederhök had a long career in revue and theatre and made his breakthrough with his work with Veckans Revy at Liseberg, which he directed for 25 years. His best-known role came through the TV series Albert & Herbert (1974), where he played one of the two main roles as the charismatic scrap dealer Albert. Cederhök also appeared in other popular programs such as Jubel i busken (1968) and played roles in films and TV series such as Ett köpmanshus i skärgården and Skärgårdsflirt. In addition to his acting career, Cederhök was a passionate supporter of the football team GAIS and wrote several songs about the club. His last performance was at Liseberg in 1989, and he died on 14 January 1990. He is buried at Kvastekulla griftegård in Partille.
