She adopted the first name Malla to avoid confusion with her second cousin, who is also an actress and singer. Graduating with a Master's degree from the Theatre Academy of Helsinki in 2017, she pursues an artistic career spanning film, television, and music. On the big screen, she drew attention in the drama Star Boys (Kaiken se kestää, 2017), a performance that earned her a Jussi Award nomination, and went on to appear in films such as Little Siberia (Pikku-Siperia, 2025). On television, she is best known for her roles in the crime and drama series Black Widows (Mustat lesket, 2014–2016) and Deadwind (Karppi, 2020). Concurrently, she releases musical projects, initially under the pseudonym Belle Who, and currently under the name Malla.
