She moved to New York in her teens, where she discovered her love of acting and story telling. She has guest starred on Primetime shows, like Law and Order : SVU , Falling Water and Madam Secretary and Big Dogs on Amazon Prime. She is the first middle eastern trans actor to play the role of judge on a prime time procedural. Her latest starring role in a feature is the lead role of Mari Walker's "See You Then", coming out in 2021. She is a graduate from the esteemed Maggie Flanigan Studio, and continues to build her resume of a wide range of characters, while exploring their humanity and fragility. She is fluent in Persian/Farsi and a transgender advocate, as well as a voice for immigrant and women's issues. She is also involved in writing and consulting on original LGBT stories to shed light on an otherwise under represented community.
