Although born in Guyana, Eytle's career was based in the United Kingdom, where he lived after emigrating in 1951. Eytle's career began in the 1950s and culminated in him becoming a household name with his role as Jules Tavernier in EastEnders from 1990 to 1997. He died in Reading in 2007.
