She made her film debut in 1941 in the film 24 Hours of Dream and in 1956 on television in the children's telenovela Pollyana. She worked on most TV drama production stations, such as Band, TV Cultura, RecordTV, Rede Globo and Rede Manchete, in addition to the extinct Rede Tupi, TV Excelsior and TV Rio. She made history in 1988 when she played Odete Roitman in Vale Tudo, a role considered one of the greatest antagonists of Brazilian television.
