She began her career as a child performer and rose to prominence in the 1960s, becoming one of the most recognizable young faces of German film and television. She appeared in more than 80 film and TV productions, including Max, der Taschendieb, Der Forellenhof, Die Unverbesserlichen, and the popular family series Ferien in Lipizza. Anders was also widely known for her voice work, notably as Pinocchio in the animated series Pinocchio and as the hamster Krümel in Nils Holgersson. Often cast as the youthful, rebellious “child-woman” archetype of the era, she remained a familiar presence on German television into the 1980s.
