Michael Culkin

Here he appeared in myriad stage productions for the Arts Centre St Johns, including: The Lion in Winter, A Scent of Flowers, The Hostage, Carousel, among others. Having studied in Paris he moved to Bristol to attend The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and after graduating went into bi-weekly rep with the Yorkshire Theatre Company. While living in Los Angeles he worked with Bernard Rose on the seminal "Candyman' and subsequently worked on 'Candyman 2' directed by the Oscar Winner, Bill Condon. He returned to London where he worked in the West End, 'Lady In The Van'. At the National Theatre, and the Donmar, as well as appearing in many British Television classics: Our Mutual Friend, Perfect Strangers, Poldark 1,2,3, Holby City, Garrow's Law 1,2,3,, Father Brown, Poirot, Morse, Kavanagh QC, alongside feature film work with Meryl Streep, "Iron Lady", Hugh Grant, Johnny Depp "Mortdecai", Judi Dench, Rufus Sewell among others. He is a longstanding member of BAFTA, the Society of Artists Potters & Poets, and Chair of a Community Land Trust in Essex. He has a remaining fondness for France having made several films in French, including Place Vendome, and Monsieur N, and also for Llamas having been left two by an uncle.
