Adriana Ambesi, sister of actress Laura Ambesi, joined the Turin Teatro Nuovo company in 1959. She later graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and in 1963 began a film career that lasted until 1969, playing supporting roles in about twenty films. In 1966, she starred in the film La grande notte di Ringo, directed by Mario Maffei. In 1976, she made a brief appearance in the television drama Qui squadra mobile.
