Giulio Campagna is a long-experienced policeman who, following an investigation that ended badly which ruined not only his job but also his marriage, has sworn to himself that he will never again use information that comes from confidants. Now, a shipment of drugs is arriving and his boss forces him to reconnect with an old acquaintance of him. But when Campagna manages to regain his trust he is forced to hand over his confidant to another investigator: Ortis dies and Campagna will not have peace until he finds the culprits.
