The Tisza has been running on the Great Hungarian Plain for thousands of years. Since man has appeared on its banks, he has been trying to make the Blonde River serve him - drinking her water, using it for watering, cutting her up, straightening it. Fifty years ago he even stopped it to make a water reservoir. We didn't know that it would lure the ancient Tisza’s wildlife out. A special ecosystem appeared because of the river. Man built it, Nature moved in. Thus was a man-made paradise created: the Lake Tisza. The movie's presenter, Dimitry Ljasuk takes the viewer by hand, and, spanning 4 seasons, shows what has become of the place during the decades. Millions of birds and fish have moved in, the dense vegetation has painted the banks green. Romantic curves, black-watered inner lakes, reed labyrinths, thousands of islets invoke the ancient Tisza. We have indirectly created something beautiful. But we are now responsible for it. We can preserve and guard the gift that Nature gave us.
