He employed them in the last trade left to the sailing ship, the carriage of grain from Australia to Europe by way of treacherous Cape Horn. Now old men, the last of the true Cape Horners tell of the dreadful conditions in which they lived and worked while sailing the great souther ocean towards the Horn. The film is illustrated with amazing archival footage shot on board three of these vessels in the last days of sail.
